Linda Morgan is one of the percussionists in the band. She is a relatively new musician, making music for only several years. With no prior experience reading music or playing an instrument, she finds the New Horizons Music program to be encouraging and unintimidating. Linda and her husband, John (also in the band), have attended several New Horizons band camps. After starting to learn to play the flute, she found a new love – Percussion! at one of the band camps. She quickly started percussion lessons and is now a full-fledged member of the percussion section. When she’s not playing in the Rapid City New Horizons Band, Linda enjoys decorating pottery, bug collecting, motorcycling, traveling, visiting her son, Ian, in Colorado and her daughter, Katie, in Michigan, and accompanying John to his other musical activities in Rapid City.
